Further transcripts of sessions and copies of presentations will be added to this page over the next few weeks.
A note about PowerPoint (ppt) presentations: these have been converted into pdf files, but some are still quite large and may take a few seconds to open (also some of the formatting may be slightly different). The files will open in the same window. Or you can save them by right-clicking on the link (Apple users press the Apple key) and 'save target as'. If you don't have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, please go to www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.

Futurelab's Research Update day offered an opportunity to debate the future direction of education with others from the policy, practice, industry and research communities.
The day featured a mix of Futurelab's latest research findings as well as presentations from invited speakers, and focused on two themes:
- Teachers as innovators
- Learning networks - extending education across institutions
Presentations covered recent Futurelab research themes, including social software and learning, learner voice and digital technologies, Enquiring Minds (a project to implement personalised learning in practice) and teachers learning with digital technologies.
There was also space and time to explore questions such as 'How can we empower teachers to innovate?' and the event saw the launch of Futurelab’s new Teachers as Innovators research and development programme.
