In October 2005, a group consisting of policy makers, educationists, publishers, educational researchers and creators of digital media met in London to consider innovative approaches to learning about rights, responsibilities and access to justice, particularly for the hard to reach student.

A Futurelab Seminar supported by the DfES
This seminar, held in Bristol in May, brought together 50 participants from seven stakeholder groups: teachers, young learners, community educators, content developers, national policymakers, local policymakers and academics. A full report from the seminar is available online.

The Mobile Science Learner
A Futurelab Seminar, sponsored by Phillip Harris Ltd Review by Lawrence Rogers, School of Education, University of Leicester
What new opportunities are available for the science learner in an age of pervasive networked information technology? What new opportunities are available for the science learner in an age of new analytical and exploratory tools and appliances? How can science education adapt to these changes in technology and changes in science? To explore these issues with practical examples, Futurelab organised a seminar at the National Space Centre in Leicester on 9 April 2003.
