What we do
Futurelab's production team works in tandem with partners in a creative 'hothouse' environment to nourish great ideas and concepts. We develop these concepts into working prototypes of innovative, interactive media that will transform the ways in which we learn. As a creative incubator, we provide R&D support - we are not a funding agency, an investor or a publisher.
Who we work with
Futurelab is here to provide a framework and working environment for projects that have demonstrable potential for the future of learning, and will support those partners who may not have the ability - time, resources or otherwise - to explore their concept alone.
We will assess all ideas submitted to us through our frequent calls for ideas (CFI) - an open invitation for organisations to submit their ideas - and take the best, most innovative concepts through feasibility studies, exploratory research and rigorous evaluation. We will invite successful partners to participate, working with us, in developing their idea into a working prototype for future success.
What we can do for you
Futurelab's expertise represents a rich disciplinary mix of technological, creative and commercial know-how. We also have a wide range of academic and educational expertise that ensures that we can evaluate the learning potential of new prototypes.
Our partners will benefit from our encouragement and expertise, research and resources, as well as our evaluation process, user testing, knowledge bank and network of contacts. We will workshop and concept test proposals at all stages with the relevant target audiences.
We invite partners to join our online networking forums on production, technological and creative issues and attend our frequent events and workshops.
Futurelab is a hub for the sharing of knowledge in the field of new technology, creativity, and education. The production team leverages this knowledge and experience, and alongside our partners we are developing innovative educational approaches enhanced through new, emerging technologies. We look forward to hearing from you with your ideas for compelling, interactive learning resources.
